Sherlock Holmes: "Now, do you need me to elaborate, or could we just crack on?"

From "Sherlock Holmes - Game of Shadows", 2011

I know I just used that one recently, but I had to use it again, because I'm McLovin' it, right now. Holmes then goes out the hole that's been blown through the side of the hurtling, burning train and begins to make his way forward on the outside of the train, with Watson right behind.

I'm exhorting myself with these examples, trying to keep myself stoked, and steeled, in what is at times a very dangerous and stressful situation. And I'm trying to exhort the readership, and lead by example.

The great news is that, with epochal positive changes underway at every level of our reality, it must logically follow that I'm going to get breaks that I never expected, when I least expect them. I think we all will - or all of us who are on the right side of things will, anyway.

In a chat session sometime back with some (psychic) compatriots from this forum, someone said, re: my situation, "tons of wingmakers, Elementals, all rushing to help!"

So I'm going to just crack on.

This is the "TLDR" version of the Parkinson's post:

1990 - Ionizing radiation can impair the integrity of the blood brain barrier (BBB).

1998 - Whole Brain Radiation causes an early increase in Blood-Brain Barrier permeability, which produces perivascular edema and microvascular collapse. The interference with microcirculation affects blood flow and energy supply to the tissue, resulting in structural damage on an ischemic/dysmetabolic basis.”

2007 - Parkinson's disease's specific origins remain a mystery

2015 - In vivo studies have shown that blood–brain barrier (BBB) dysfunction is involved in the course of Parkinson's disease (PD). However, these have lacked either anatomic definition or the ability to recognize minute changes in BBB integrity. Here, using histologic markers of serum protein, iron, and erythrocyte extravasation, we have shown significantly increased permeability of the BBB in the postcommissural putamen of PD patients."

June 21 2016 - The incidence of Parkinson's disease and parkinsonism increased significantly in 30 years from 1976 to 2005, Mayo Clinic researchers reported today in a study in JAMA Neurology.

2017 - JAMA, re: Alzheimer’s:

“(The blood-brain barrier) becomes leaky, letting in undesirable agents and hindering the clearing of the amyloid. amyloid accumulates in the brain, but there is a system that vigorously clears amyloid and other toxins. An important role is played by the blood vessels of the brain, the endothelial cells of the blood brain barrier and also its pericytes. it is the (dysfunction) of of this vascular system that is the first step that predisposes you to the accumulation of amyloid. It also reduces the oxygen and glucose supply to the brain: sugars, energy, metabolites."
